An abundance of data, but little insight

With the advancement of technology, many companies are now collating a plethora of data on a wide range of activities across their business. The difficult they experience is to convert this abundance of data into meaningful information and insight that can be acted on.

In many cases, the systems have been introduced on a piecemeal basis – e.g. the sales and CRM system has been procured independently of the operational planning and financial systems, and as a consequence the data resides in silos, and the value from integrating it is not realised.
